Profile Wire and Polyurethane Screens

Elgin Separation Solutions specializes in profile wire and polyurethane screening. We build a wide range of profile wire products for everything from vibrating screen decking to custom engineered and fabricated components. We offer complete fabrication of finished product ready for installation.

Our patented polyurethane screen systems can be used on almost all OEM vibrating screen manufacturers for sizing, rinsing and dewatering your product. We also offer hybrid screen decking available in woven wire, perforated plate and profile wire to maximize your screen’s efficiency.

At Elgin we understand screening. That’s why since 1977, we have been successful in building quality products. Our philosophy is simple: Listen to our customers and give them a product that exceeds their expectations, delivered on time at a competitive price.

Profile Wire Screens

All Elgin profiles are cold shaped to exacting tolerances for width, height, relief, hardness and tensile. Nothing less than our rigid standards are acceptable during the shaping process.

Advantages
Unlike punch plate or woven wire, profile wire screens offer 2-point particle contact. The continual slots and inward widening openings allow for less plugging of near size particles.

Construction
To ensure the strongest weld possible, we use continuously controlled TIG welding to connect the profile wires to the support bars.

Support Bars
Size, shape and spacing of the support bars depends on the application and loading conditions the screen will be subjected to. Round, square, triangular or rectangular are common.

Capabilities

• Wire sizes from 0.030” wide to 0.186” wide
• Stock materials: 304, 316L,
 (others available)
• Hard Chrome wear plating
• Slot Sizes from 0.005”
• Cylindrical Screens with Radial, Axial,
 Internal, External wire
• Continuous TIG Welded Construction
• Custom Fabrication and Design

Tabor-Thane Polyurethane Screens

Elgin’s patented polyurethane screen systems can be used on almost all OEM vibrating screen manufacturers for sizing, rinsing and dewatering your product. We also offer hybrid screen decking available in woven wire, perforated plate and profile wire to maximize your screen’s efficiency.

12″ x 12″ Panels

• 4 Pin and 6 Pin
• Plug Free Panels
• Square Holes, Slots
• Patented Locking System
• Openings from .25 mm to 3”
• Thickness: Up to 2”

Modular Screen Panels

1′ x 4′ Hybrid Panels
The most common problem with crown deck screen surfaces is premature breakage over the crown bars and at the center hold-down bars.  Elgin hybrids are available in virtually any screen material and configuration.

• Profile Wire for Sizing, Dewatering and Rinsing
• Perforated Plate for Coarse Sizing and Washing
• Woven Wire for Maximum Open Area

Advantages:
• Less Expensive than Urethane
• Flat Deck Screening Efficiency
• Greatly Reduces Premature Failures
• Easy Installation = Less Downtime
• Mix and Match with Urethane
• Great for Plant Start-Ups When Fine Tuning Openings

Tabor Pinless System

Tabor Pinless is designed for maximum user flexibility. The support system can accommodate various screen configurations and hole openings. The P3P system can be installed on most other deck frame designs. Engineered for ease of installation and maintenance, P3P can be quickly installed or changed, reducing operational down time and lost production.

Tabor Pinless Benefits:

  • Less parts to assemble and disassemble.
  • Diverters on the screen direct the flow of material over the hole patterns for more efficient screening.
  • Diverters also serve as the locking system for the dams, so a dam system can be located every 12 inches if needed on the urethane panels.
  • Steel bars are completely covered to reduce wear.
  • System will accommodate various screen configurations and hole opening sizes.
  • System can be installed on most other frame designs
Screen surface can be installed in less time than other screen systems.
  • Simple installation
saves time and reduces operational down time.
  • Ease of maintenance saves time and money.

Curved Static Sieve

Curved Sieves efficiently remove debris from incoming flow.  The screens utilize the coanda effect to improve efficiency, while using gravity and overflowing water to remain clean during storm events.
